Pumpkin Pie Spice
I ran out of my pumpkin pie spice in the middle of making my pumpkin breakfast cookies. So I had to pivot and figure out what to do. I decided I would share the recipe in case you find yourself in the same situation.
Since pumpkin pie spice is such a seasonal spice consider just making what you need. I’m assuming if you do any baking then you would have the following on hand- cinnamon, ginger, cloves and nutmeg. That’s it!
The warm autumn spice can be used in sweet and savory dishes. My two all-time favorite pumpkin items are pumpkin bread and pumpkin ice cream. Every year to kick off the holiday season I have 1 pumpkin cake donut. It has become my personal tradition.

Pumpkin Pie Spice
Ingredients
- 4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground clove
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients together. Store in an airtight container or spice jar.
