I really wanted to use red pop rocks candy but could not find any. I settled for red sanding sugar for a festive look. A friend gave me these cute sparkle cocktail picks.

Margaritas taste better in overalls.

Servings 1 margarita

Ingredients

  

• 2 oz tequila
• 1 ½ oz lime juice
• 1 oz blue curacao
• corn syrup
• red pop rocks or red sanding sugar

Instructions

 

• Coat the edge of your margarita glass with the corn syrup and then dip that into the pop rocks or sanding sugar. Set aside.
• Add tequila, lime juice and blue curacao with ice to your shaker. Strain into prepared glass over fresh ice.
• Celebrate and sip your way into July 4th.
