BAHAMA MAMA

A fruity and refreshing Bahama Mama made with coconut rum, dark rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, fresh lime, and grenadine. This easy tropical cocktail comes together in minutes and brings a little island flavor to every sip.

  • Jigger
  • Hurricane glass
  • Bar spoon

Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz coconut rum
  • 1/2 oz dark rum
  • 2 oz pineapple juice
  • 2 oz orange juice
  • 1/4 oz Grenadine
  • ½ oz fresh lime juice
  • Ice
  • Pineapple wedge
  • Orange slice
  • Maraschino cherry

Instructions
 

  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  • Add the coconut rum, dark rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, and fresh lime juice.
  • Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
  • Fill a hurricane glass with fresh ice.
  • Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass.
  • Slowly pour the grenadine over the back of a spoon so it settles toward the bottom of the glass, creating a beautiful layered sunset effect.
  • Garnish with a pineapple wedge, orange slice, and maraschino cherry. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

For a sweeter cocktail: Add a little extra grenadine.
Make it frozen: Blend all the ingredients with ice until smooth.
Use fresh juice: Fresh lime and fruit juices give the cocktail the brightest flavor.
For a richer finish: Float a little dark rum on top just before serving.
