Bourbon Chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 Cup Soy sauce
  • 1/3 Cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 Cup Water
  • 2 Tbsp Bourbon
  • 1 Tsp Sesame oil
  • 1/2 Tsp White pepper
  • 2 Lbs Chicken thighs-boneless, cut into 1" pieces
  • 2 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 2 Cloves Garlic-minced
  • 1 Tsp Ginger-grated
  • 2 Tbsp Cider vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Combine soy sauce, sugar, water, bourbon, sesame oil and pepper in a bowl or measuring cup. Microwave until hot, about 2 minutes. Whisk to dissolve sugar.
  • Toss chicken, cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of the soy sauce mixture until combined.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a 12" nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add chicken, cook, stirring occasionally until well browned, about 10 minutes.
  • Stir in garlic, ginger and rest of the soy sauce mixture. Bring to a boil and cook until sauce
