Bourbon Chicken
Bourbon chicken is a delicious and flavorful dish that originated in the southern United States. It is a staple in many Cajun and Creole cuisines, known for its rich and hearty taste.

- 1/2 Cup Soy sauce
- 1/3 Cup Brown sugar
- 1/4 Cup Water
- 2 Tbsp Bourbon
- 1 Tsp Sesame oil
- 1/2 Tsp White pepper
- 2 Lbs Chicken thighs-boneless, cut into 1" pieces
- 2 Tbsp Cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp Vegetable oil
- 2 Cloves Garlic-minced
- 1 Tsp Ginger-grated
- 2 Tbsp Cider vinegar
Combine soy sauce, sugar, water, bourbon, sesame oil and pepper in a bowl or measuring cup. Microwave until hot, about 2 minutes. Whisk to dissolve sugar.
Toss chicken, cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of the soy sauce mixture until combined.
Heat vegetable oil in a 12" nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add chicken, cook, stirring occasionally until well browned, about 10 minutes.
Stir in garlic, ginger and rest of the soy sauce mixture. Bring to a boil and cook until sauce
