Bourbon Cowboy
The closest related cocktail to the bourbon cowboy would be an old fashioned. I don't think you will ever find a cowboy drinking an old fashioned, but cowboys would definitely drink this literary cocktail.
Ingredients
- 4 basil leaves-divided
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 2 oz bourbon
- 1 1/2 oz sweetened iced tea
- 1/2 oz lemon juice
Instructions
- Muddle 3 basil leaves and the bitters in a shaker.
- Add the remaining ingredients and ice and shake well.
- Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice and garnish with a basil leaf.
