Instant Pot Chicken Legs

The Instant Pot makes tender, juicy chicken legs that are full of flavor. Pressure cooking ensures the meat stays moist and never dries out.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 chicken leg quarters
  • 1 cup water or chicken broth
  • your favorite seasoning, rub or sauce

Instructions
 

  • Place your liquid in your instant pot. Add the trivet to your instant pot liner.
  • Stack the chicken legs in a bookshelf manner. Place the thickest part of the chicken leg resting on the trivet. Facing the leg upwards toward the lid.
  • Lock the lid and move the valve to the sealing position. Set to manual on high for 20 minutes.
  • Once the IP beeps, let it naturally release for 8 minutes. Release any remaining pressure.
  • Set the oven to broil and broil chicken legs until golden brown.
  • Season and serve. I served with orzo with vegetables. See recipe in the blog post.
