Instant Pot Spaghetti Squash

It's fall so that means squash season. Which I absolutely love. What I don't love is how long spaghetti squash takes to cook. But the Instant Pot Spaghetti Squash will become a weeknight meal. It's that quick!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 4.5 lb spaghetti squash
  • 1 cup water

Instructions
 

  • Add 1 cup of water to the liner of the Instant Pot. Add the trivet to the inner pot and set the spaghetti squash on the trivet.
  • Put the lid on the Instant Pot and set the the sealing position.
  • Set the Instant Pot for 25 minutes. Don't be surprised that it might take about 15 minutes for the pot to come to pressure.
  • When you hear the beep and your 25 minutes is up release the pressure by turning the knob from sealing to vent. Be careful to not burn yourself with the steam. Use a long handled wooden spoon to turn the knob.
  • Use pot holders to lift the spaghetti squash out of Instant Pot liner. Being careful to not burn yourself.
  • Let your squash cool for a little bit so it's easier to handle. I cut the stem end off the spaghetti squash. Then cut the squash horizontally and scoop out the seeds.
  • Use 2 forks to shred the squash strands so it resembles spaghetti.
  • Use the spaghetti squash as a base for spaghetti replacement with a meat sauce. Make a pizza crust or some cheese breadsticks.
