Leftover Turkey Swiss Panini
If you're looking for a delicious way to use up your leftover Thanksgiving turkey, a turkey Swiss panini is an excellent choice. This simple yet flavorful sandwich is a great way to transform your leftover turkey into a mouthwatering meal.
- 1 1/2 cups leftover turkey-shredded
- 1/2 cup leftover cranberry sauce
- 2 tbsp fig or apricot jam
- 4 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 8 slices sourdough bread
- 8 tbsp butter
Preheat pan or panini press while prepping the sandwiches.
Mix the cranberry sauce and pecan together. Set aside.
Spread butter on 1 side of the bread. Then spread the other side of the sandwich with Dijon mustard.
The top the slice of bread that has Dijon with turkey slices and top with the cranberry sauce.
Then top the cranberry sauce with 2 slices of Swiss cheese. Spread butter on the second slice of bread and jam on the other side. Place the jam side down on top of the cranberry sauce.
Place sandwich on the panini press and press down. If using a pan weigh sandwich down with a brick or a press, then turn sandwich to cook the other side.
Slice in half and serve!
