Sheet Pan Hoisin Shrimp
Rushed for time then sheet pans will become your best friend. This sheet pan hoisin shrimp is one of my favorite meals.
Using my garden Bok choy for something different other than a traditional stove top stir-fry recipe makes me happy. I had shrimp in the freezer and wanted to do something different. On food network I saw a sheet pan episode and I thought this sheet pan hoisin shrimp is perfect.
I call this a stir-in sheet pan recipe because you literally stir in the sauce onto the sheet pan. How easy is that!
I have 1 in my family that doesn’t like bell peppers. This was so easy to accommodate because I just put the peppers on a separate sheet pan.
Clean-up is easy because you line the pan with foil. Only a small bowl is needed to mix the sauce. If you aren’t looking to WOW your company, just serve it directly from the sheet pan.
This reheats really well too so feel free to double the recipe.
If I had to describe hoisin sauce; it’s thick and has a salty sweet flavor. The dark brown appearance makes a beautiful colored sauce. It is great as a marinade or to brush on when grilling. Here is a recipe that I made with eggplant using a grill pan https://meatsbeetsandbubbles.com/pan-grilled-eggplant-with-hoisin-glaze/. I highly recommend keeping hoisin sauce on hand in your fridge.
Sriracha and sesame oil really give this recipe a depth of flavor that will make your taste buds say thank you.
