Beef kebab with peppers has serious flavor using coriander, chiles, garlic and turmeric. Serve with rice and a yogurt sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ cup onion-grated
- 2 tbsp coriander
- 2 tbsp plain yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic-grated
- 2 Thai or Serrano chiles-minced
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp turmeric
- 3 bell peppers-cut into 2" pieces
Yogurt Sauce
- ½ cup plain yogurt
- ½ lime-juiced
- ¼ tsp cumin
- pinch cayenne pepper
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp coriander
- chopped parsley-garnish
Instructions
- Set oven to broil and move oven rack 6" below broiler.
- Mix beef, onion, coriander, 2 Tbsp yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, chiles, salt and turmeric until well combined, Be careful to not overmix.
- Roll into 15 meatballs about 1 1/2' diameter. Put 3 meatballs on each skewer, separating each meatball with bell pepper. Place on foil lined cookie sheet.
- Broil for 5 minutes, then turn and broil until no longer pink. About 5 minutes. Remove from oven and put on a serving platter or plates.
- Mix all ingredients for the yogurt sauce and serve with the kebabs.
