Aldi Trip Part 1
Sheila (pictured in my post) my friend in Missouri talks about Aldi all the time. I remember thinking it would be so awesome if Arizona would get an Aldi. We did, and soon I will have one about 5 minutes from my house. Right now, I stop after checking on my Mother-in-law because she has an Aldi that is on my way home. Stay tuned for future posts about my Aldi finds. For now, please enjoy the Aldi trip part 1.
Aldi has everything that a grocery store has but on a smaller scale. I pick up mangos every time I shop, and they are the best I’ve tasted and never more than .45 each. The best part of my shopping adventure is the AOS aisle of shame (or as my Missouri friend Sheila says…. aisle of sh**) The AOS has everything from pajamas to air fryers.
I am going to do several posts on all the Aldi fantastic buys because there is so much good stuff that won’t fit into one post. If I have the prices, I will add them. A side note is I am frugal. I hope you will be inspired to give Aldi a try.
When people ask me what Aldi is like, I tell them if Trader Joes and Wal-Mart had a baby, that is what Aldi is like. If you haven’t checked out an Aldi you must! Here is the link to their website https://www.aldi.us/
Here are a couple of links to Aldi Facebook groups https://www.facebook.com/groups/thealdinerd and https://www.facebook.com/groups/aldiaisleofshame
Adult Cherry Limeade using Aldi’s Frost Cherry Limeade which is similar to the brand Ice with Deep Eddy Lime Vodka. I think the Aldi brand tastes better than the Ice brand.
I don’t know exactly how many flavors they offer but these are my 2 favorites. You can’t beat the price at .55 each
These wax warmers are super cute and will make a great gift especially for the price of $9.99. Add some wax melts and you will have a fabulous gift for under $20.00.
Looking for an easy meal try this and put it on Aldi brioche buns. Grab some coleslaw and you are set. Not as good as my pulled pork but I would buy this again. The price was $5.99.
This is an example of the cool and fun stuff you can find in the AOS. Not sure if these are state specific but they are perfect for Arizona. Look at those wine charms!
A Cubano sandwich is pressed with ham, Swiss chess, mustard, pickles, and pork. These chips are hearty and thick and definitely taste like a Cubano. For $1.89 I will buy these all day long.
Perfect for your favorite beverage or cocktail, especially when you don’t want to water it down with melting ice. These are so festive and fun. An AOS find for $1.99 for a set of 30 cubes.
Bought these for my daughter to try. She liked them and said she wished they had more cheese. They tasted like an appetizer you would get at Applebee’s or Chilis. I did try a bite and thought they could have used more cheese filling. They were a medium spiciness which was good. The price was $3.99 for the box.
I love to have candles on hand, so the house smells good. Great idea for a last-minute gift. These are 3 wick candles, and the quality is fantastic. They burn great and the fragrance is fabulous, but the price is even better at $3.99 each.
Salad from my garden, added fresh strawberries for a perfect lunch or dinner side. This dressing was so good, as are all of the salad dressings I have had from Aldi. It has a fresh strawberry flavor which means I can use less dressing than I normally would. The price is $1.49.
My daughter loves to make French onion dip using sour cream. This dip is just as good as the name brand and it’s’ .59 for the box of 3 packets. That’s a win!
