Here are My Favorite Kitchen Gadgets-Part 2 that make my life so much easier in the kitchen. This is part 2 of my favorite kitchen gadgets that I am passionate about. These are in no particular order. Just kitchen gadgets I use on a regular basis.
Herb Stripper-I use a lot of rosemary and thyme from the garden. This is a fairly new gadget for me, but I am so glad I bought it. If you need to chop the herbs this will make your life easier.
Cast Iron Scraper-I use my cast iron skillet a lot! Cleaning it can be difficult because you don’t use soap on cast iron, it will rust. I do use hot water and let it soak for just a bit. Then use the scraper to get off the stuck-on bits. I do use kosher salt and a paper towel to scrub it. Rinse it under very hot water and then put it on the stovetop on low to dry before putting the skillet away.
Cast Iron Skillet Handle Cover-After burning my hand 1 time getting my skillet out of the oven, I didn’t waste any time ordering one of these.
Silpat Mat-These are great to line your baking sheets. I also use them to roll out pie crust.
Mini Ladle-What I love best about this ladle is how perfect it works in my gravy boat.
Hand Chopper-When I am making a vegetable soup this speeds up the process on chopping carrots.
Whisk-Have a couple of sizes on hand. If you use a whisk in a non-stick skillet, make sure you have a silicone whisk.
Mason Jars-From canning to storage mason jars are so useful. I have used them to make cocktails, salad dressing, simple syrup. In this video I use them to hold my measuring spoons. One jar for teaspoon and smaller and another for larger than teaspoon.
Small Sheet Pans-What I use these for mostly is to defrost proteins. Really handy when prepping
One of my favorite things to make is summer rolls. I hated trying to dip the rice paper in water using any of the bowls in the kitchen.
