I have friends that have a beautiful home with an incredible backstory. They live in a historic area. They raise chicken and are lucky to enjoy fresh eggs. Some of their other animal residents include a peacock and a mini horse named Annabelle. Annabelle has quite the personality.

I saw a post on Facebook and commented. I was invited to come by and pick peaches. It was amazing to be able to pick fresh peaches without driving for hours. I haven’t had a peach that was so flavorful and juicy in years.
I will link to some of my favorite recipes that I made using the peaches I picked.
When it’s hot in Arizona salads are the best supper because it’s so refreshing. Here is one of my recipes for a peach halloumi salad with chicken Peach Halloumi Salad With Chicken – Meats-Beets-Bubbles (meatsbeetsandbubbles.com). If you haven’t tried halloumi, you are missing out. Halloumi is a cheese that you can pan fry it and give it a browned crust without melting it. It has a chewy texture with just the right amount of salt.

Swartz Cuban Peach
Ingredients
- 1 fresh peach-sliced
- 1 ½ oz rum
- 1 ½ oz peach schnapps
- ½ oz lime juice
- ¼ oz simple syrup
- peach wedge-garnish
- mint-garnish
Instructions
- Muddle the peach slices in a cocktail shaker-use less if you prefer. I love a lot of peach in my cocktail. Fill shaker with ice.
- Add rum, schnapps, lime juice and simple syrup.
- Shake until very cold. Strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass.
- Garnish with peach wedge and mint.
