Homemade Chocolate Liqueur

Homemade chocolate liqueur

Homemade chocolate liqueur is so easy to make that you won’t ever need to buy it again. Perfect for a gift and fabulous cocktails.

To make the homemade chocolate liqueur you just need a few Ingredients. Most you will probably have on hand.

  • Cocoa Powder
  • Water
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Vodka

The process took about 20 minutes from start to finish. The hard part is the waiting which takes 7 days. It’s well worth being patient after you make and taste your cocktail.

There are two types of chocolate liqueur, cream based or clear. This recipe is a clear based meaning it is not made with cream.

I store my chocolate liqueur in a flip top bottle in the fridge. Depending on the size of the batch or if you are sharing this yummy creation, you could use a smaller bottle. Just make sure the vessel you are storing the liqueur in is sanitized.

Here is the link to the Cinnamon Cookie Martini I made using the chocolate liqueur.

I have made this hot chocolate with a store-bought chocolate liqueur. I am really looking forward to making it again using my homemade chocolate liqueur Amaretto Hot Chocolate – Meats-Beets-Bubbles (meatsbeetsandbubbles.com)

Here is a simple chocolate martini recipe.
